Pousada Bella Boipeba

We had a wonderful time in Boipeba. The manager speaks excellent French and is genuinely kind and interested in you and your trip. He was always willing to help, even doing our laundry. Breakfast has a generous selection of locally made food, including bread and different pastries. The pool is lovely, and it stayed peaceful at night despite being near the street. The location is right in the heart of Boipeba, close to shops and under 1 km from the beach. Signed, a French family Viva Brazil!

The room isn't large, but it was comfortable for two adults and a child, with useful touches like plenty of outlets, a wardrobe for clothes and bags, bedside lamps, a Smart TV for rainy days with a child, and a drying rack for towels and beachwear. The bathroom is a good size too, with a glass shower enclosure. The inn is near the central square and shops, right beside the island's best restaurant, Panela de Barro. Breakfast is tasty and constantly replenished, and the women working there are very friendly. Douglas is lovely and shared lots of tips about the island.

We stayed here before, in December 2024, and I gave it a 9 on Booking then. This time I'm giving it a 10. The breakfast was already good and has gotten even better, and when we had a room problem, the staff fixed it that same day without any runaround. That makes a difference. The rooms are new, the bathrooms work well, and the beds are comfortable and firm. Last time we had an upstairs double room; this stay we were downstairs in a room that was more spacious and just as comfortable. The guys who run the place are great, polite, and full of good tips for trips and restaurants.

We got a warm welcome from Bruno, who let us check in early and even have breakfast on arrival, though it wasn't included, because we'd had an unexpected problem getting to Boipeba. The service was outstanding. During our stay, our inn seemed to be among the few, or perhaps the only one, on the island unaffected by the water, internet, and power outages. I'd recommend it without hesitation and hope it keeps doing so well.
