You can step right out to the second and third beaches from this clean, cozy, well organized pousada. The hosts took great care of us, were friendly and helpful, and shared reliable information and great tips for seeing the island. They also make very good food and cocktails. My friend and I found lots of joy and harmony at Stand Up Pousada. 100% recommended, and we'd love to come back!

Right across from the 2nd beach and close to several restaurants, the pousada is easy to get to and good value. Mitiko and Fatima, the owners, welcomed me warmly and took such good care of me. I felt at home. Breakfast was very good and made with a lot of care. Tomas, who works at the pousada, also makes homemade bread. Buy some if you can, it’s delicious, and they serve it at breakfast too. I highly recommend the pousada!

After just two days, we already felt like part of a family. Fátima and the owner, Dona Mitiko, welcomed us so warmly, and Dona Mitiko looks after guests like they’re her own children. She’s smart, well traveled, and charismatic, and that personal touch shows in the wonderful breakfast, with different treats, cakes, pies, and breads every day. Sol was also very kind and welcoming, always ready to help. The room was comfortable and extremely clean, with a spacious, modern renovated bathroom. There’s internet and air conditioning, and the value is great. It’s a lovely, simple place for peace, with a family atmosphere, beautiful views, and an excellent location in the village with easy access to the island’s main beaches. I recommend it and would stay again. I loved the experience!
