I had to leave early for a 7:00 bus, but they wouldn’t let me have any breakfast before I went. The receptionist said no with a mocking look, and some of the staff showed very little empathy or courtesy. The shower in my room wouldn’t heat the water, and the breakfast wasn’t worth the high price. They also don’t let you take plates upstairs. It’s these small things that make me question whether staying there is worthwhile. Hotel Oasis Cajazeiras needs to improve.

It was a mess when I arrived because the hotel was being renovated. Still, it’s in a good location and the hotel is very good overall.

The breakfast was good, though it’s the kind of thing you could get at a bakery for about 15 reais at most. The place was clean and the hotel itself was good, but 200 reais for a room that felt more like an inn is far too much. My room had an air conditioner from the Jurassic era, so noisy that I asked to change rooms. I can’t believe how expensive everything is in this city. For that price, I could stay at a 5-star hotel in João Pessoa. Having an elevator doesn’t justify charging 200 reais for an inn-level room.
