We had a wonderful time in Barra Grande and only wish we'd stayed longer than about four days. The owner was kind and always responsive to what we needed. Breakfast was among the best we had anywhere in Brazil. Since we don't eat meat, the owner let us use the guest kitchen to make our own meals. I really recommend staying here.

A little paradise in the traditional Brazilian pousada style. Just relaxing in a hammock in that lovely garden feels like pure bliss.

Its best feature is the location, near both the beach and the center of BG. The pousada is quite rustic, with simple rooms that still feel cozy.

The bathroom drain gave off a foul smell, the bed linens were stained and dirty, and the room had insects, including cockroaches and spiders. Breakfast was sparse, with few choices, and it seemed that food from previous days was being saved to serve again. This was the worst accommodation experience I've ever had. I don't recommend this pousada to anyone, and I'm sure I won't return.
