Discovery Canyon

It’s a lovely inn in a great location, peaceful and close to nature, which makes it a nice place to rest. Still, we wouldn’t return because of several things that bothered us. There were unpleasant signs around the property, including one in our bathroom threatening a 500 reais fine if the toilet got blocked, and another on the shared bathroom door telling people to be quick because others needed to use it. We booked a room with a fireplace and paid more for it, but couldn’t use it freely. Someone had to be called to light it, and staff left at night, so if we went to dinner in town, nobody was available to light it when we got back. When we arrived, the room wasn’t ready. The cleaner shut the door in our faces and said reception had made a mistake and she couldn’t hold our bags. It was raining and we’d carried our luggage upstairs. We wouldn’t have minded waiting, we just wanted to leave our bags. There were too many little unpleasant moments for us, even though the place itself is beautiful. We travel a lot and will choose another inn next time.

The room was cozy and comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent. We also loved the view over the city from the infinity pool. The service was great from reception through to the restaurant.

The inn is close to the region’s main outings, and the service is excellent. Rooms are clean, tidy, and very comfortable. Breakfast has plenty of variety, even though this is a small inn with only a few rooms. I recommend it.

I really enjoyed our stay. The service was great, and the rooms were tidy, clean, and cozy. The restaurant menu had something for every taste and was impeccable. The heated pool looks out over the city of Praia Grande.
