Pousada Candieiro

Great.

It's a small inn in a typical all-wood gaucho house, simple and welcoming, and clean. The host is quite a character, doing everything from owning and looking after the place to cooking and guiding guests. Since there are only a few guests, most of whom come to explore the region rather than spend time at a hotel, people naturally get to know each other. Breakfast is simple and charming, like the rest of the inn. Worth a stay.

We felt right at home during our two days at the inn. Fabiano and his family are wonderful hosts. He was attentive, helped us plan outings, and gave us useful tips on where to eat and what to try in the area. Our room was very clean, and the linens smelled lovely. The location is great if you like walking around town.

The inn was clean, welcoming, and well located. It was easy to find when we arrived, and breakfast was generous. We had the bad luck of having a family with noisy young children in the room next door, though. The walls are very thin, so getting a good rest was difficult. The owners were very warm and hospitable, and it's a great place to stay while visiting the canyons.
