I had a really nice experience.

The one person who made the stay less difficult was Renato, who works at the Hotel. The Hotel itself is beautiful, but I found it dirty and poorly equipped for guests. They put me in a makeshift, dark room with no TV and a low bed. The blankets were very poor quality, and the pillow was falling apart. Under the bed and around the few pieces of furniture, it was dusty and dirty. They don't change the bed linen or towels. My towel was soaked because the room was damp, unventilated, and at the end of a long, dark corridor, so nothing could dry. I asked for another one, but the person at reception said the housekeeper was asleep and they didn't know where the towel cupboard key was. I was told to wait, but nothing got sorted, so I dried myself with the soaking towel. My car was parked by the Hotel entrance to help my sister, who has a lot of difficulty walking, get in and out. Livia asked me to move it so guests could unload. To my surprise, several motorcyclists immediately parked their bikes where my car had been. I understand if she hadn't seen how much help my sister needs to walk and get into the car, but that was the only reason I had parked there. From what I could tell, they don't have experience hosting guests, and the Hotel isn't set up for it.

The gardens are lovely, and there are plenty of corners to explore around this enormous hotel. It has two pools, one Olympic-sized and one for children, two saunas, and a large hall with books, antiques, card tables, and lots of paintings to look at. Breakfast was excellent, generous, varied, and delicious. The whole team was friendly and attentive. Seeing and hearing the maritacas flying around was a special sight. A wonderful place to rest, relax, and have fun. I highly recommend it and plan to return.

I didn't stay at the hotel. My team and I were welcomed by Sr. Jânio, the hotel manager, while doing research. He was extremely attentive and gave us several invaluable details for our work. The hotel is beautiful, and the common areas are very well kept. It hosts groups, and if all the staff are as attentive as Sr. Jânio, those groups will be very well received.

Wonderful! Staying at this hotel keeps things simple and has good energy.
