Really good service, welcoming people, and a nice breakfast.

The two pools were the highlight for me. They were well cared for and had an unusual shape. The owner and his family were friendly and helpful throughout. When we asked for extra pillows and a sheet, they brought them right away. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was quiet. Our rate was a little lower than similar places nearby for the dates we stayed. There were several things that could be improved. Our room had no towels or toilet paper when we arrived, even though the room assignment was known, so it would help to check before guests are shown in. We stayed two nights and the room wasn't tidied, and the rubbish wasn't taken out. The TV only had Netflix and other streaming services, with no regular channels, which is an issue for guests who don't have accounts. The two-night stay cost R$ 900,00 and they wouldn't let us pay in instalments; the other couple with us saw that as a downside. Breakfast tasted good, and you could ask for tapioca, couscous, or eggs, but the selection was basic, especially the sweet options. There were also lots of flies around the food. Given the nightly price, they could expand the choices a bit and do more to control the flies. Some stairways have no handrail, which could be dangerous for people heading to their rooms after using the pool, particularly because of the stair material. The pousada seems new and may not have been in business long, which could explain some of these issues. They could make improvements, including energy efficiency, since the power in rooms isn't switched off when guests are away. While the business is still getting established and its processes are taking shape, I think rates could be lower. Once it's settled and running smoothly, they could charge prices that better match what's offered.

I've never stayed anywhere that made me feel so at home. The owners make you feel like you're part of their family, and the comfort is hard to beat. It's a beautiful pousada, with clean rooms and new air conditioners and minibars that all worked perfectly. It's close to everything, easy to reach, and in a very safe area.
