My week here was a real letdown, and I wouldn’t come back. The room had several maintenance problems: the toilet was clogged on day one, and on day two the faulty door lock left me waiting three hours for a technician. The lock failed two more times during the stay. The internet LAN cable didn’t work either. All these repeated problems really affected my visit. It didn’t even feel like a 3-star hotel.

The pool and outdoor veranda were lovely and handy to have. The hotel is beautiful, and its location felt safe, with good restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance.

The room was spacious and clean, and everyone working there was kind and spoke English. It’s on a quiet side street but still central, a nice setting for resting or spending time by the pool. Breakfast was really good, and the lunch and dinner service was good in general too. I’d recommend staying here and would like to return.

Ants were crawling all over the bathroom, hundreds of them. They eventually moved me to another room, but only after I argued with the front desk, since they didn’t want to do it.

I’ll definitely stay here again if work brings me back to town. It’s within walking distance of bars and restaurants, and the restaurant food is great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and many spoke English. They were also happy to help me with my Portuguese. The rooms were clean, and Mario is the greatest waiter ever.
