Wow. Honestly, only stay here if you’re desperate to avoid sleeping on the street. There’s no wifi, everything is filthy. Good luck.

The room setup could be better, and the bathroom is quite old, but the beds were good, the linens and towels were clean and smelled fresh, and the staff were very polite. The breakfast was perfect, absolutely wonderful, and incredibly good. It made up for every downside. The stay was also a great price, and we got an extra discount when we arrived. Parking costs extra and is a few meters away from the hotel, which felt a little unsettling because there are many homeless people along that avenue. I loved my stay, and I’d stay here again if I pass through Campo Grande. Nothing beats a full breakfast.

The breakfast was excellent, with a pleasant atmosphere that felt like being somewhere else entirely. That was the only good part of an otherwise awful stay. The parking was almost a block away, and at night carrying bags to the hotel was terrible because there were so many drunk and drugged people on the street and even at the entrance. Our room was covered in water from a leaking minibar that didn’t even keep things cold. The bathroom was wet too, as if it had been washed and left to dry on its own. The showerhead wobbled so much it seemed ready to fall on us. The wardrobe was very unstable, nearly falling when we touched it, and the bed sagged like a canoe, with a dip in the middle where we could feel the bed slats.

The staff were courteous and the hotel is well located, but I had to cut my stay short because of several problems. They put me in a room in an old annex building, with a badly deteriorated facade that looked like it had been abandoned for a long time. My room was the last one at the end of the corridor on the second floor. It was small, and the black paint on the little windows in both the bedroom and bathroom seemed meant to hide the building’s deteriorated exterior. It made the room feel very claustrophobic and brought on anxiety. The shower enclosure had only half a divider, so every shower soaked the bathroom, and the water flow was weak. Even on setting “1,” the water got too hot. On the second day, there were small cockroaches on the floor and bed, and the towel they provided was very worn. There were stains on the ceiling that looked like water damage or mold. Worst of all, animals in the ceiling made constant noise throughout my stay. I think they were pigeons or bats. I arrived Saturday and asked Sunday morning to check out early, but the employee said I could only do that Monday because of the finance department employee’s schedule. I left Monday morning, and they refunded the unused nights that same day. It wasn’t a good experience, though there may be better rooms. Mine really was terrible.

The breakfast was excellent, that part didn’t disappoint. But we paid a lot for a terrible stay. I don’t know if booking on the way to the hotel meant they gave us the worst rooms, but the power kept cutting out, so the air conditioning couldn’t cool the room. It smelled strongly of mold, and water in the corridor was making the rooms dirty. The parking is far from the hotel, and depending on the time, the distance and homeless people made it impossible to carry bags to the room. I couldn’t sleep, and neither could my baby, because of the heat and the overwhelming amount of fabric softener on the bed linens. I think there may be better rooms, but this was awful for us.
