Cristallo Di Pietro Hotel

GREAT.

We stayed here from 31/12/25 to 2/01/26. It reached 27°C during the day and was 19°C at night. The room got hot in the daytime, with no air conditioning or fan, but opening the windows let mosquitoes in. The walls were dirty and had a sharp, sandpaper-like finish. I couldn’t touch them with my fingers or hands without getting hurt. There was no handheld bidet spray in the bathroom, the trash bin had no lid, and a 10 cm black granite lip at the shower entrance made getting in and out a clear tripping hazard. We tripped twice. I hurt my foot and elbow on the glass shower door. There was a list on the room door with charges for damage to various items in the room and bathroom. How are guests meant to check everything on arrival, like holes in towels or sheets? The hair dryer’s filter screen was very dirty and could burn out with use, so how could a guest be held responsible for that? One more thing: the booking app showed a 9.1 rating, much too high for what the place offers. It said payment would be due at the accommodation and could be split into four installments. After we booked, the hotel’s reservations office contacted us asking for advance payment by Pix or debit card. We managed to pay by credit card, but after seeing the comfort level in the room and bathroom, I understood why they were so eager to get the money in advance. It wasn’t a good experience.

The location is great, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tasty and served in a pleasant setting. The room is a good size and very clean. My only complaint is the shower. It takes far too long to heat up, and the water flow is weak. The heater could use an upgrade, or at least be replaced with an oil heater.

I stayed at this hotel two years ago. An employee said he’d park my car, but the next morning it was on the street outside with the bumper badly scratched and dented. He said he didn’t know what had happened and that the hotel owner was out of the country and couldn’t do anything. I should have taken legal action at the time. I’ll never stay there again, and I don’t recommend it.
