The staff were friendly, kind, and professional, and the location was calm and convenient, close to the main road and about 12 minutes by car from Capivari. But the room was extremely bad. It smelled awful, had no closet, and only two electrical sockets, both far from the beds. The bathroom window wasn’t very opaque, so people could almost see in. Breakfast was below average. We left a day earlier than planned because the smell kept us from sleeping well. I highly do not recommend this hotel.

The garden and waterfall outside were attractive, and the place has potential, but inside the hotel and in my room, the condition fell far short. The website photos didn’t match what I found, and I was really upset about that. The hotel is far from town, so I spent a lot on Uber, and there wasn’t anything nearby like the listing seemed to suggest. The staff were consistently polite, attentive, helpful, and welcoming, and did what they could to provide good service. I loved the breakfast too: fruit, bread, cakes, juice, coffee, and pão de queijo, all delicious. The room was the biggest disappointment. The bed was extremely soft and too small for a couple, and the mattress and pillows were so soft I sometimes felt I might fall off. There was mold in the room, the bathroom ceiling was peeling and moldy, and its rusty window was very hard to shut. We couldn’t close the bedroom window either, so it stayed open almost the whole time, which felt uncomfortable and unsafe. There was no fan or air conditioning, the floor creaked loudly, and the table was rusty and shedding pieces. There was also a lot of noise, with no real sound insulation. I could hear cars arriving and people talking, laughing, and walking around outside. The scariest moment came in the middle of the night when someone fiddled with my door, then I heard voices outside. I don’t know if someone mistook the rooms or tried to get in, but I was terrified. The whole atmosphere felt like an abandoned hotel in a horror movie. At first I considered asking for a refund and leaving, but everything was already arranged, so I stayed. Honestly, the room and the hotel’s condition made for a bad experience.

The staff were the one thing that saved the stay. They were attentive, polite, and helpful. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The hotel itself seemed almost abandoned, and although it looks pretty and appealing from outside, inside it was disappointing and looked like it was falling apart. The photos don’t show that. There was noise throughout the room: doors slamming, people arriving in the early hours, and very loud laughter. Someone also fiddled with the door during the night. The bathroom window was rusty and hard to close, and the ceiling was peeling and moldy. The bedroom windows had no locks, so they had to stay open all night. The double bed was small, and the mattress was soft and sagging. My wife nearly fell out of bed. The lighting was terrible, and the floor was very noisy.

The room TV wasn’t smart and had limited channels. The room service also missed a day: we left the keys so they could change the towels, but it wasn’t done, and there was a shortage that night, so we had to wait. Aside from that, things were fine. The grounds were full of flowers, and we enjoyed breakfast. The place is cozy but simple, and the room worked well for our stay in Campos.
