Because the place has such a relaxed feel, we did have to wait a little for the receptionist to get our key. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it may matter if you expect more high-end hotel service. Our room was very comfortable, though some people might find it a bit small. The pousada is charming, with a pleasant Galician villa theme, and the staff were lovely. We liked the firm bed and showers, as well as the freshly made breakfast and tea time. It’s a villa-like stay in the heart of Campos that seems especially suited to couples without kids.

The staff were lovely, from reception to the cooks, and we had a very comfortable stay. The place is nicely decorated, and the rooms are too. There’s a restaurant and bar nearby that has live music on weekends. It’s a little far from Capivari, but we enjoyed walking around on the way to the city center. The food and fruit choices weren’t extensive, though there was enough for us, and there are two dining areas next to each other. We had to ask reception for drinking water since none had been put in our fridge when we arrived. Make sure to use the efficient heater when it gets cold.
