Apartamento Portinari

The building is easy to reach from the main road and close to the city bus station, supermarkets, Praça João Corrêa, and the well-known Catedral de Pedra de Canela. Its location puts many of the city's attractions nearby. The building itself is lovely too, with wooden doors and balconies that bring to mind older homes. Portinari really feels like a traditional Canela residence, and the safety measures in place help make it comfortable for everyone living there.

It’s peaceful despite being so close to downtown, and everything was clean and comfortable. I’m not sure whether there are apartments with air conditioning. I didn’t think to check when I booked, and I missed having it. It must be even nicer in winter! Thanks to Guilherme from the real estate office, who was very helpful and attentive.

Staying in the center of Canela puts you near the bus station, restaurants, snack bars, bars, supermarkets, banks, shops, and the city's main sights. The apartment was great, and Catedral de Canela is especially worth a visit for its beautiful architecture.

A great spot for a couple, about three blocks from the stone church and Canela’s central square. Gramado is around 12 km away, about a 10-minute drive.
