The owners were warm and chatty, and their suggestions came from places they knew themselves. They can also sell tickets for a few attractions, and prices for things to buy on site were often close to supermarket prices. Breakfast is on the small side but has plenty of choices. I couldn’t say whether there are vegan or lactose-free options since that wasn’t relevant for me. The inn is in a quiet residential area, a few blocks from Canela’s main avenue. It has six rooms and a breakfast room, all accessible. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, a mini fridge, and heating and cooling. The bathroom was spacious and clean too. There’s a small parking lot, though parking on the street wasn’t a problem. Service was great.

The breakfast was simple but everything tasted great, and the room was basic yet spotless. It’s a family-run pousada, and our host was such a sweetheart. We had a great experience and will definitely come back.

We visited in mid-August 2022. When we booked, we thought we’d be staying at the other, more distant pousada, so the mix-up left us confused and a little disappointed at first. Then we went inside and were welcomed so warmly. The rooms charmed us with how clean and organized they were, and they smelled wonderful. The owner said they were making improvements too, so I can only imagine how it’ll be when those are finished! I’m grateful for the excellent welcome and attention. Thank you so much. Highly recommend.

We stayed for five days, and Vera gave us such a warm welcome and took great care of us. The pousada is simple, with a generous breakfast. The price was fair, the beds cozy, and the bathroom was a good size, clean and comfortable. It’s in Canela, just a five-minute walk from Catedral de Pedra and a ten-minute drive from downtown Gramado. I’d definitely stay again.
