It’s about 150 meters from Praia do Arco Íris and 2,400 meters from the city center, with a large supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, snack bar, and other places nearby. The rooms were very clean, and the small kitchen area is handy if you want to make your own coffee or snacks. It gives guests some independence. The atmosphere is family friendly, and the person in charge was always kind and helpful. A great stay.

A cozy, simple guesthouse in a quiet neighborhood with no noise, one block from the sea. The staff at reception were excellent and very helpful. The balcony was a lovely spot to read, and there’s a wonderful veranda opposite reception with a hammock and chairs where a nice breeze comes through. The kitchen is fully equipped, and despite being close to the beach, there were no mosquitoes. Our room, number 7, had no oven, but Maurício kindly let us use his. There were only two of each kind of cutlery, and the Wi-Fi was down for three days, so I used up all my mobile data. Those small inconveniences didn’t spoil the stay, and we’ll definitely return. It’s a great choice if you like a quieter beach. We stayed from 11/01 to 16/01/18.

I booked through booking.com for Carnaval at a quoted price, then a few days later the guesthouse cancelled through the app, saying they hadn’t entered the correct price. Places that don’t know how to use these apps and aren’t ready to provide good online service always seem to come up with that excuse, even in 2021. The bigger problem was the employee Gilson. He was extremely rude for no reason, made no effort to sort things out even though I tried to book directly with the guesthouse, and kept saying things like “that’s not my problem” to dodge responsibility. Throughout the conversation he sounded mocking and laughed. He told me he wasn’t the manager and there was no management, because the guesthouse of the boys is run by some people from the Northeast. After a lot of humiliating treatment, he gave me a random phone number and told me to “stop whining.” I’m sharing this for anyone it may help. It looks like it could be a decent place to stay, but I don’t recommend it.

The guesthouse has basic kitchen utensils, good mattresses, blankets, and pillows, plus a closed garage, TV, and air conditioning. It’s almost on the corner by the sea, on a very calm beach, so it’s great if you want to relax. The guesthouse and service were excellent. I highly recommend it, and we’ll come back as soon as we can.
