Hostel Praia Martin de Sá

After this stay, I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend the hotel. I had planned to return with my whole family if the first experience went well, but we'll book somewhere else. This was the only hotel that has treated me so badly, and I won't set foot there again. The trouble began when I arrived exhausted after hours on the road. I got my suite key from the gate's lockbox, which was fine, but none of the keys would open the gate. I messaged them politely on WhatsApp to ask if someone could let me in. No one read it, so I rang the bell and a woman opened the gate. Hours later, the staff replied rudely: “We gave you the information twice.” I explained that they'd told me how to open the lockbox and get my suite key, but hadn't explained how to open the gate. Different gates work differently, and I didn't know which key to use or how to turn it. I tried all three and none worked. They answered, “But the gate key is together with the suite key,” which still didn't address my question. They were hostile and impatient for no reason, with no empathy, ethics, or professionalism. They made me feel stupid and like I was bothering them, even though I had paid. I'm trained in Tourism Management, and I say from professional knowledge that they were completely unprepared and showed no hospitality. Being tired from the drive had already left me flustered, and their response made things worse. 👎🏻
