If I could give it zero stars, I would. The room smelled musty, the pillows were black and dirty, and the bathroom was badly cleaned. The smell from the bathroom drain spread through the whole room. It was so bad that our friend’s rhinitis flared up and we almost had to go to the hospital. When we turned on the fan, it simply exploded. The owner said it was “a bit faulty” and told us to use the floor fan instead. It was a long night… 😒

The inn is clean and conveniently located near the beach and the best spots for going out at night. But I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The furniture seemed like donated pieces that had already become unusable, and getting any sleep was nearly impossible. The beds creaked, and the thin, old mattresses were so uncomfortable that we put them on the floor to avoid the noise and feeling the bed slats, but that didn’t help. Our room had no mini-fridge, as did some of the others. In weather over 34 degrees at the beach, we couldn’t buy water because there was nowhere to keep it. The owner, Sirlene, offered the shared refrigerator, but reception closes at night, so we couldn’t get our water then. The room was extremely hot, and the ceiling fan barely worked. Guests in neighboring rooms stood outside complaining about having chosen this place. What bothered me most was Sirlene’s lack of professionalism. She was friendly until we raised a concern about the fan, then the warmth she’d shown on the first day disappeared. After we complained, we were given a small fan to try to work a miracle in a room that felt like a sauna. I believe owners should listen to constructive criticism as well as praise if they want guests to return and recommend the place. The administrators seem immature to me: they respond only to compliments, or say complaints came from people talking about the wrong inn. The other reviews here reinforce that impression.
