Hostel E Pousada Casa De Paixão

Really great!

The women's shared room had comfortable beds, air conditioning, fans, and a locker with a key big enough for a wheeled suitcase. The bathrooms were very clean, and I appreciated the soap and toilet seat covers. Breakfast was good, with different tasty options each day. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hostel can book tours for you. Its location is one of the best, especially if you're arriving with heavy bags. I had a great stay overall. A few things could be better. The reception was often empty from afternoon into the evening, and sometimes guests couldn't reach anyone in person or on WhatsApp. One of the night receptionists was extremely rude to almost everyone for no reason. I also didn't like having to schedule breakfast. It was freshly made, but sometimes it came too late for us to eat properly, or part of the order never arrived. I've traveled to many places and never had to pay separately for towels and blankets, which should be basic in a hostel or inn.

We got there on a rainy day, soaked, and the inn let us check in early. That made a huge difference since we were drenched, haha. Tatiane welcomed us warmly and shared lots of tips, and Alice looked after us so well at breakfast. The coffee was unlimited, the food was made to order, and it was all wonderful. The place was incredibly clean and in a perfect spot, close to the canoe crossing stop and Caraíva's main street with its restaurants. I'd recommend it and would come back!

I loved my stay at Casa de Paixão and felt comfortable right away. I usually don't choose shared rooms, but I was traveling alone this time and it worked out so well. The shared room is huge, and the bathroom has three shower stalls, so it never felt crowded. The house is beautiful and spacious, with lovely decor, and the price feels fair for what's included. It's right by the church and close to everything. All the staff were so nice. After I left, the staff messaged me a few days later because I'd dropped my charm bracelet on the bathroom floor. They figured out it might be mine and arranged to get it back to me. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Caraíva. Thank you so much!
