Pousada Caraíva

The cakes at breakfast were divine, and they served them again at afternoon coffee, which was lovely. We loved our stay at Pousada Caraiva. It’s a beautiful, welcoming place, full of thoughtful details in the decor, and the staff were very helpful and polite.

Breakfast was a lovely surprise. It’s à la carte, and everything is made fresh, from the tapiocas and juices to the cakes. I had delicious passion fruit cake and cajá juice during my stay. The pousada is close to the beach and about five minutes from the church and restaurants. On the same street, Vila do Mar offers a great day-use option by the sea. We stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a simple but welcoming, clean place, and Felipe and Thaís received us warmly and attentively. The room was a good size and spotless and tidy when we arrived. The only thing I’d improve is the slope of the shower floor, since water pools there. Otherwise, the accommodation was perfect, with quality bedding, towels, and Avatim amenities, plus lovely decor.

The hosts and everyone working at the pousada were wonderful, cheerful, friendly, and always ready to help. The place is beautiful and so lovely to stay in, right by the beach. The cakes were delicious, and breakfast was heavenly. I miss it already. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much for everything and more! 🙏🏼

We were there the week before Christmas and want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and care. Mari and Felipe were always ready to help, and it’s a great place for children. The beach is nearby, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the main street by the river. We liked being a little farther out because it was so quiet at night. We’ll be back!
