Rochas Pousada

Great.

The mattresses in both rooms were badly worn and sagged into a hollow shape. The place is basic and offers no comfort. On the first night, sleep was impossible: it was very hot in Carolina in August, when I stayed, and the air conditioner barely cooled the room while making an unbearable noise. We arrived very late and the inn was full, so I had to sleep with earplugs. The shower was poor too, with barely any water coming out. We changed rooms the next day. The air conditioner worked a little better there, but it was still noisy and didn’t cool enough to deal with the heat. Cleanliness was disappointing as well: dirty walls, cobwebs everywhere, and I found cockroaches in the second room’s bathroom twice. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation.

We were treated very well by the excellent staff, and I really liked the place. The breakfast was very good too.

The breakfast was so good I’d eat it every day if I could. There was tapioca, couscous, bread with cheese and ham, cake, and fruit. We really liked the service and the inn overall, and it has a very family friendly atmosphere. The problem was our room’s air conditioner, which wouldn’t cool at all, and Carolina is VERY hot.
