Eco Village Cumbuco - Casa Compartilhada

We were very happy with our choice of Eco Village. Our family stayed in three of its nine houses for a whole week. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Top!

The breakfast was fantastic, and the house was spotless. We spent four holiday days there, and the facilities were really well looked after. Everyone on staff was so polite and welcoming, which made the stay feel special.

The room had no working air conditioning, so with two nannies, two hungry kids, my wife and me, we decided to leave after less than 15 minutes. We arrived at 8 p.m. and asked for our 900 reais back. Two hours later, the refund still hadn't gone through. The owner, who is Portuguese, eventually returned the money but deducted 6% for the card fee, even though the problem wasn't ours. They couldn't process the refund and wouldn't assure me I'd get the money back, just kept saying they'd look into it tomorrow. The staff had no authority to sort anything out, and the place needs maintenance too. I only wanted to resolve the problem, but with the kids hungry, it was a mess. I wouldn't recommend staying there. Think carefully before you go.
