The pool views were lovely, and the gym on top made it feel like we were sitting above the world. Breakfast had a great range of choices, and housekeeping kept everything spotless. When our Blacklions basketball team arrived, Marcus, a fantastic baggage handler, came to help. At the front desk, Caroline, Gabriilla, and Pedro were fabulous: they sorted out our room situation and lots of other things, answered all our questions, and were endlessly kind, with the biggest smiles. This hotel was amazing, much better than Rio (royal Rio place hotel). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Blue Tree, from all of us on the Blacklions deaf team.

The staff were friendly and even made a special effort to provide gluten-free meals. They also spoke English, so I had no trouble communicating. The restaurant team were the highlight of the hotel. They served us so happily, and the breakfast buffet was incredible. The staff overall were truly kind and very attentive, especially in the morning and the people who parked the car. The woman working at night was a little indifferent, direct but not really rude, and didn’t make much effort to be pleasant. But I’d return to Caxias and would never stay here again. This is one of the town’s highly rated hotels, charging almost US $200 a night, and it absolutely isn’t worth that. I was shocked by the condition of the accommodations. The hallway carpet was stained, the furniture was old, marked, cracked, or just odd for 2023, and the sheets and towels felt cheap and old. The small TV made me feel like I was visiting my grandma in 2012. There was mold all over the bathroom (see pixtures), and there’s no excuse for that. With what we paid, I expected much better. It felt more like a 2 star service hotel, and it’s unfortunate they seem to be taking the profits without reinvesting. Accommodations: 4.0 Service: 9.0 Food/Breakfast: 10.0

The restaurant had a nice menu and a good dinner buffet, and the staff were friendly with very good service. Its central location was handy. There were downsides, though: no iron in the room, which was a huge inconvenience, and no American-style breakfast items.
