The restaurant was a real highlight, with a great dinner and plenty of breakfast choices. It’s peaceful, full of birds, and close to the park. Before we arrived, the pousada arranged a driver to and from the airport, which was great service. The room needs some upkeep and better screens, and the pool was so cloudy we couldn’t swim in it. Still, I’d recommend it for a night or two.

A good pick for birders, with great bird viewing, attentive staff, and some excellent cooking. The stay was relaxing. A few things need adjustment, including the door fit, hand bidet, air conditioning, and uneven walkway. One lunch took over an hour even though we’d ordered ahead. Also, check the sheets and mattress, as I had clusters of very itchy bites for days after leaving.

The property has short trails and a waterfall, so you can explore the cerrado on your own. That’s a different experience from the main attractions at Chapada, where you understandably need an official guide. The staff are friendly and very attentive, and the owner makes you feel like an old friend. It’s especially quiet in low season. If you want to experience nature rather than just look at it, this is worth every Real.

Pousada do Parque is amazing and comfortable. Alexandre Le Chef is very nice and talented. Vinicius at reception was polite, empathetic, and always ready to help.

There are only 8 rooms, so it feels intimate and informal, and the location is lovely. The host really cares about ecology, and the staff are friendly. I also had one of my best nights of sleep in Brazil. One complaint, though: the Caiperinhãs had way too much lime.
