Pousada Quinta Dos Quintais

Cida was so attentive and ready to help with anything we needed, always in great spirits. We felt peaceful and comfortable at Pousada Quinta dos Quintais, just what we needed for a restful break. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious too. We had a spectacular stay and give Quinta dos Quintais a 10!

We left at dawn and went to a bakery for breakfast because the room and the breakfast options were such a disappointment. The room felt very old and smelled musty, so anyone with rhinitis should be aware. One side of the bed sagged, the shower and bathroom were awful, and the bathroom sink was oddly placed in the middle of the room. The blanket was poor quality, the pillow uncomfortable, the floor old, and the towel stained. There was soap, but no shampoo or conditioner. There wasn’t a minibar in the room either, just a shared area with a fridge and microwave. Breakfast had very few choices. We only stayed because we had nowhere else to go, and it wasn’t worth the high price for what they offer. The Hotels.com app doesn’t accept feedback, only compliments. Calling this place “rustic” feels like an excuse for neglect and misleading advertising.

Cida, the owner, is what really sets this welcoming guesthouse apart. She’s incredible, attentive, and so hospitable. The rooms were tidy and clean, and the pool was beautiful and clean as well. Breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Leaving and saying goodbye to Cida was the hardest part. The owner looked after us with so much warmth and care. We had a comfortable room and delicious breakfast, and the whole stay was wonderful. It was absolutely worth it.
