Zizi really makes you feel at home at Zizi Home, and she’s one of the most involved and organized hostel owners I’ve come across. She helped us arrange hikes and transport to and from Cuiaba, took us to local festivities and viewpoints, and speaks both English and Spanish, which is rare in Brasil. The place is clean and cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen, and there’s also the cutest dog living with her. I stayed for four days and loved it. If you’re coming to Chapada, stay at Zizi Home!

I loved my stay, and my visit to Chapada dos Guimarães wouldn’t have been the same without Zizi and her welcoming place. The house is well equipped, with new, comfortable, functional items, including clean, soft mattresses, comfy beds, good sheets and pillows, lockers with keys, and a fully stocked kitchen with cold water ready for you. The value is excellent compared with other nearby options. Zizi shares detailed information before you arrive, including bus times, ways to get there safely, reliable and punctual app drivers, and tour ideas for different tastes and budgets. When you arrive, she explains how the house works, shares guidance for getting along and using the amenities, and offers plenty of tips about town and the best outings. She also has great local contacts for guides and app drivers who can take you on short private trips, so you can skip renting a car entirely. Beautiful bicycles were available too. If I had to recommend one place to stay anywhere, from five-star hotels to hostels, it would be Zizi Home. Staying there makes a trip to Chapada dos Guimarães feel complete, special, and unique.
