Whenever I come to this city, I stay here and haven’t been disappointed. The service has always been good, the TV has movie channels, the air conditioning works perfectly, and there’s a minibar.

We paid 290 reais for a couple and a child, though we usually pay 260 for a good hotel. The room had no air conditioning, the pillow was poor, and the shared bathroom was really ugly. A five-year-old was charged 90 reais to sleep. The owners could improve these things and make the hotel good.

The room was small and stuffy. When I asked whether there was a water dispenser, they told me guests couldn’t use one, but they did have one for sale.
