Pousada Beija Flor

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room was dirty, and cockroach droppings were on the bed because roaches were falling through a gap in the ceiling. A staff member changed the sheets and said, “it happens,” but I’d never had anything like this happen, even in cheaper places I’ve stayed. I woke several times at night to rats making noise in the ceiling. I moved the bed so the cockroach droppings would fall on the floor instead of onto it, and their movement was the only thing keeping more from landing on the bed. The air conditioning worked well, but all the other furniture was really battered. I felt disgusted the whole time and didn’t even want breakfast. Luckily, it was just one stay. If it had been longer, I would have cancelled. I’ve stayed at places in Corumbá in the same price range or even cheaper that were much better, especially for cleanliness and peace and quiet, and offered excellent service. Avoid this place. Worst stay of my life!

A nice spot for travelers to rest, with very good service and a good location.

Simply awful. The room was completely run down: the minibar was filthy, the bathroom sink was falling apart, the shower stall was almost on the floor, and there was a hole in the wall beside the shower about half a body in size. There were pigeon droppings under the air conditioner, and the bed seemed ready to break at any moment. They charged a lot for a place in such bad shape. Think carefully before coming.

The photos look excellent, but they don’t match what we found. Our room was in very poor condition, with marked-up walls, a moldy smell, a strangely colored pool, a hole in the ceiling covered with a stone, and cockroaches walking around. We had paid the night in advance and asked to leave and get a refund, but they refused. I don’t recommend it. If they ask you to pay ahead, it’s because the place probably won’t be good.
