Goldmen Business Criciúma

After reading good reviews, I tried to book a stay in Criciúma from 10/11 to 15/11, but there were no rooms available. I stayed at Colle instead, which was very good. Later I needed to return and finally got the reservation I’d been hoping for, paid in advance by PIX for two nights. What a disappointment. After a 500 km trip, we were greeted badly and found the room filthy, with expired food in the minibar and a bad smell. We asked for cleaning or a different room. When we got back, someone had just wiped things down and removed some leftover soap. I thought about moving to another hotel, but it was only two nights, so I put up with it. On the second day, while I was working in the room, someone knocked, opened the door with a card, and apologized because reception had given her our room by mistake. There was a lot of renovation noise during the day, and the bathroom door was full of termites. I expected them to move us, but they didn’t. Breakfast was very basic, with only sliced bread. I’d been so happy to finally get a booking, but of all the hotels I’ve stayed in, this was by far the worst. It was a terrible experience. I’ll never return and don’t recommend it. Go to Colle, where we were treated really well.

If you need a hotel, I’d choose somewhere else. The Wi-Fi was very unstable, and breakfast was just okay, with few choices and only sliced bread. Our room was badly cleaned. There was another guest’s leftover food in the fridge, used soap in the bathroom, and so much dirt that my socks turned brown after walking around a bit. We complained, but things didn’t improve much. The shower stall had green, crusty buildup. An old hotel is fine, but cleanliness is basic and this was a serious failure. On our second day, other guests were simply let into our room as if nobody was staying there. What if I hadn’t been there and they’d gone through my belongings? Then our cards stopped working, and we had to go to reception to get them reactivated. Nobody even apologized. We were treated rudely from the first contact, and reception was very poor, they didn’t even say good morning. This was my first and last stay here. I don’t recommend it.

Getting there is easy, but check-in took over an hour because only one receptionist was handling it, and her service wasn’t very pleasant. She could have been kinder. Temilis deserves praise, though. He was welcoming, attentive, polite, and ready to help. The manager seemed uninterested in what was happening at the desk and didn’t bother to assist while we waited. They also don’t issue an invoice at checkout.

The staff were attentive, polite, and dedicated, from the breakfast team to the housekeepers. Everything was clean, organized, and carefully looked after. Excellent hotel and flawless service. I’ll definitely come back and recommend it!
