Kabana Hotel

The food here was hands down the best in town. The chef came up with creative, delicious dishes, and the staff were incredibly attentive. They knew our names from the first day and helped with everything. The facilities are beautifully designed with local wood, great lighting, and everything felt new. We spent lots of time relaxing by the pool and in the hammocks. There was no TV or air conditioning in the room, which we liked as part of the more relaxing, sustainable feel. The fan worked perfectly, and we slept well. We cancelled our next stay to stay here longer, and we'll definitely come back to Prea.

Three nights here, and each day brought another room problem. On the first day the shower was broken. The next day the hotel's power went out, and there was no water in the shower. On day three, there was still no water. There was nobody at the front desk, only the restaurant waiter. I tried calling maintenance and the managers and sent messages, but nobody answered. The “Concierge” arrived about an hour later and didn't come speak with us. When I went to ask him for a solution, he offered none and said our energy was too bad because he didn't like bad energy. I asked for the manager or owner's name and phone number. He said he wouldn't talk to me because I was nervous, and refused to give me their details. Then he left the hotel. More than two hours passed with nobody explaining what happened to the water or saying when, or even if, it would be back.

The staff made all the difference during our stay. Sebastião stood out as cultured, very polite, and well prepared to look after guests. João was just as helpful and pleasant, always available. Daniel, who handled breakfast, was consistently thoughtful and attentive. Gabriel, Dioene, and Adriele were all fantastic and treated us very well. The room was always clean, tidy, and smelled lovely. Breakfast was complete, the facilities were phenomenal, and the hotel was excellent in every way. We'd return without hesitation and recommend it to everyone.

We came with children and were looked after so well. The team was welcoming and attentive, the rooms were lovely with wonderful views, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The hotel's cooking was excellent too. A perfect stay, highly recommend.
