Rancho do Peixe

The view from our bungalow was beautiful. Sitting in the hammock and looking out at the sea was pure bliss. Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of fresh, delicious choices, and the service throughout our stay was outstanding and thoughtful. The surfclub guys were friendly and helpful, and drinking water was always available for free. They even kindly drove us to our next accommodation. Those little touches made the visit special. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the place.

The kite service on the beach was well organized, and the concierge team was always on hand to help with requests and special wishes. The whole team made us feel welcome. Rancho do Peixe is beautifully designed, with a perfect kite spot for kitesurfing and relaxing. Food was consistently delicious across all four restaurants. Highly recommended.

The food from Preá's women was a real highlight, from the little good-night sweets magically left in the bagalos to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the cakes, fruit, coffee, and tea set out in the lounge areas. Breakfast and the lounge treats were included, while lunch and dinner cost extra but were fairly priced for the quality. I also loved the handmade toiletries in the bagalos, including shampoo, conditioner, insect repellent, toilet spray, and soaps made by the local community. I usually don't use hotel toiletries, but these were wonderful. The rustic brasilian decor also reflects the hotel's connection with its surroundings and community. I wish I'd known earlier that this hotel group has a place in Jeri and offers complimentary transfers between its hotels. I would have stayed at Kalango in Jeri instead of My Blue before coming to Rancho. I enjoyed the massage so much that I went overboard. I highly recommend the hotel, five stars for sure. One complaint: this hotel gets many visitors from abroad, and I wish smokers, especially the French group, would use more common sense in a country where smoking is prohibited in some places.

The food was amazing, with a great variety, and the spa masseuses were high quality. The staff were polite and helpful, and the NYE dinner was well organized. It's a very nice spot, though prices get expensive during NY vacation and are otherwise pretty reasonable. The kite school felt like a factory during the holidays, with so many students that they didn't seem to care. The gear was quite worn out, so I had to switch schools.
