Ventana Hotel

This is a nice kite club with a restaurant, a great pool, and a chill area. The location is amazing, and I really enjoyed my stay. It's isolated, with few distractions, which makes it a good choice if you're serious about improving your kitesurfing. You're upwind of everyone else, so you mostly surf alone. I recommend it.

The location is the only thing worthwhile here. The place seems run down, perhaps because a group rents the assets and runs the business. Maintenance appears to have been forgotten: we went several days without hot water, the balcony structures were rotten, and there were other signs the property was being run for cash. The staff were attentive and tried to address the problems. Breakfast was extremely weak, at best. Stay away, it's far too expensive for the service provided.

Everyone was extremely nice and friendly, and the kite school team gave very attentive help. The kitesurfing setup is excellent. A great place to relax and spend some time kitesurfing. I'll come back.

The reception at Ventana Hotel welcomed us well, but the stay was very disappointing. The biggest issue was that the hotel wouldn't issue my invoice, even though I showed several times, including through contacts with my bank, that the payment had gone through. It looks like a clear accounting problem. There was also a large building under construction, with noise every day, so relaxing wasn't possible. The restaurant and breakfast weren't what you'd expect in brasil. It was the first time I'd had a meal without farofa or feijaos, and when I asked, they said, "this is french cuisine". What a joke. Cars were constantly on the beach, which didn't feel safe for a family. Our rooms had no air conditioning and not enough fans, even though we'd booked the nicest ones. It was very hot for the boys. I clearly do not recommend this place.
