We had a great stay at Pousada Candeias, and I'd happily come back. It's close to Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar, the lavender fields, and the city, so getting around was easy. The chalets sit on a beautiful, well-kept property on a tree-covered hill with lovely views. Each one is warm, spacious, quaint, and cozy, with a fireplace, a roomy bathroom and shower, and space that's great for a family. Outside, there's a hammock and bench for relaxing among the forest scenery, and parking right beside the chalet. The Wi-Fi was pretty good too. There are several firepits and huts around the property, along with a well-maintained pool. The dining hall is also in good shape and has its own fireplace. Breakfast, or cafe de manana, was awesome, with lots of choices, and dinner was very good as well. The staff were some of the nicest and most attentive I've met. They made us feel like family. The owner looks after every guest really well. It's a nice place with good views and pleasant apartments, though it's a little far from Cunha.

We spent a weekend at Pousada Candeias with two other couples, and Toninho and Kika made it a lovely stay. The chalets were tidy, clean, and really comfortable. Outside, the huge grounds are wonderfully preserved, with old araucarias, fruit trees, and bromelias all around. Breakfast was plentiful, with plenty of fruit, cold cuts, cakes, and more. We also had delicious soups and broths there in the evening. A trail crosses the property and passes a spring that appeared after Toninho restored an area that had been pasture. We hope to visit again many times. Long life to Pousada Candeias!

There's a lovely 1.700-meter trail on the property, and the route up to reception is a spectacle in itself. The whole inn is very well cared for. Inside, the bed is a real treat, the shower is wonderful, and the decor is in very good taste. Breakfast was also delicious, carefully prepared by Kika. Congratulations to the hosts.
