Pousada Dona Felicidade

We only went for lunch, and it was a lovely, fun time. Lu and her husband were especially friendly and attentive, and the countryside setting is beautiful and well cared for. The food was all homemade and delicious, especially the fish moqueca. I'd never had one like it, and even asked for a takeaway portion for the trip. I recommend checking out the restaurant and supporting the project to protect native forest birds that are threatened with extinction. Many thanks to the whole Dona Felicidades team for an unforgettable experience.

A welcoming place, with wonderful food and such a warm reception from Lourdinha and Miro. Everything is lovely, clean, and pleasant, with lots of greenery and birds all around. It feels immersed in nature, yet the town is very close by car. The location is great.

Lu, the owner, goes out of her way to make you happy. On a quiet day, she may even invite you to share a delicious breakfast and a chat. Vânia made tapioca and scrambled eggs with such care, and Lu's cheese bread was the best I've ever had. We bought 2 kg frozen to bring home. We didn't get to try the rabbit prepared by chef Miro, so we'll return, but the pasta with country chicken was delicious. We're grateful to Lu and her husband for the care and all their tips for outings and restaurants. I took a while to get around to writing this, but we plan to come back. It's a must stop in Cunha. My husband and I spent a weekend in Cunha about a month ago, Friday to Monday, and stayed at Dona Felicidade. The location is great, right in the middle of things. The inn is wonderfully peaceful, with lots of greenery, and there's access to the Shiitake da Serra restaurant from inside the inn. Lu's tip was a success!

I stayed in a comfortable chalet with an incredible view, and it felt extremely private. The care and attention won me over in a way I can't explain. I'm just grateful, and honestly, I wanted to live there. Breakfast made by Vânia brought back the kind of affection I only got from my grandmother as a child. Murilo was so attentive, and Seu Miro makes the best home-style food I've ever had. Lu won me over too, even though we didn't meet in person. My heart is just full of gratitude.
