Being so close to nature was wonderful.

The breakfast was simple but really tasty, and Michele was warm and welcoming. The room felt cozy, and the place itself is beautiful and romantic. We lit the fireplace on a pleasantly chilly night, though there could have been more firewood so it would stay lit longer. I recommend it!

The attentive staff and breakfast were the bright spots. The rooms need attention, though: they feel old, the mattresses are density 20, and the soundproofing is awful. You can hear absolutely everything from the room next door. There’s no phone signal from Claro or Vivo, and the Wi-Fi itself is terrible. I’m not talking about the rural internet connection, which is limited, but the Wi-Fi, something that could be fixed with very little investment. The TV only has the usual broadcast channels and their ridiculous programming. The bathroom lighting is poor, and the curtains are so light that you’re forced awake at 7. Cleaning was fine. It’s a shame, because this is a beautiful property with everything it needs to succeed commercially, and I believe they can turn things around. I don’t recommend it.

The place is pretty, and I took lots of lovely photos, but I don’t think it was worth the price, and I wouldn’t return. I only wanted to clarify that the inn does exist, since they took a long time to answer WhatsApp and there are two Instagram profiles with very little information. Bring water and snacks if you might get hungry outside service hours. There aren’t enough outlets in the room. They don’t provide a standard inn bath kit, though they do give you a very handmade grape soap when you arrive. The towels and bedding were very clean. We did find a huge spider in the room. Breakfast was generous and delicious, but there was a serious gap: no hand sanitizer on the breakfast tables, just one at the restaurant entrance.

We had a photo shoot there rather than staying overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms. Still, it made me want to come back and try the inn and restaurant. The property is lovely, peaceful, full of history, and very well cared for. The people there are extremely polite. If you’re looking for quiet and calm, this is the place.
