Hotel Brasília

The staff were the best part, always ready to help. The hotel is right in downtown Curitiba, and it works well enough if all you need is somewhere to rest instead of a luxury stay. The interior feels a little old and short on attention to detail. Breakfast is simple.

The place is clean and the rooms are fine, so it’s not a bad hotel. The problem is how poorly organized everything is. Even little tasks drag on, and the elevator doesn’t work. They miss basic things like soap and towels, and seem unsure whether you’re in a room or whether any rooms are available at all. It took forty minutes just to find out if they had a room. A painting fell on me while I was sleeping. They don’t seem to have a working system, and instead of apologizing, they don’t appear to care much.

I had decided not to use BOOKING anymore, but it keeps showing up whenever you search online for hotels or car rentals. This will be the last time. I wanted to book February 10 to 15, but when I got to the hotel I found the reservation was for March 10 to 15 of the same year. It seems the dates keep changing when the hotel you choose is full. This kind of hacking needs to be handled electronically. It’s disgraceful. I have to cancel this erratic reservation and ask my bank to refuse any payments.

I really liked the balcony and the bed, and breakfast was good. The bottled water was a good price too. A few things could be better: the electric shower, the old TV device, and the free WiFi, which was quite slow.
