The location might be great, but with so many drug addicts around, I didn't feel safe outside after 6 pm. The building is old and poorly maintained. The beds, pillows and blankets were bad, the towels worn out, and there were no toiletries in the bathroom. The TV was broken and there was no room service. Don't go!

The only decent parts were breakfast and the central location. Everything else was bad. We stayed three nights, and two of the rooms we'd booked weren't ready when we arrived. Our room wasn't very clean either. The bathroom was missing necessities, the mattress was hard, and the window had only a partly attached curtain, no shutters, so road noise came straight in. One evening, the four of us had only three towels. When we asked for another, we were told there weren't any. On the last day, they left the previous day's towels and had no clean ones for any of us. Cleaning barely happened: there was hair and dirt under the minibar and on the bidet throughout all three days, and the sink was never cleaned. I doubt the other fixtures were either. The only change was the bed blankets, and even those weren't made up very well.

The room was dirty, and the old building had peeling paint and looked neglected. The key stopped working every day, forcing you to check in again. As soon as you step outside, people struggling with drug addiction are panhandling. They apparently have a restaurant, but it only seems to open for breakfast.

We contacted the hotel about our reservation nearly a week in advance, and everything seemed settled. Then we arrived at night, exhausted from the trip, only to be told there was no room for us. Other guests there had run into the same problem that morning, yet the hotel had confirmed our check-in just hours before we arrived. They put us in a lower-category hotel without breakfast for the same price, and only for one night. After that, we had to make a new reservation, gather all the receipts and go get our money back. The staff's attitude was poor, the whole thing was too much trouble, and there was no professionalism. You don't expect this after booking a “good” hotel for a vacation. I wouldn't trust them with a vacation stay.
