The exterior area could use some work. A staff member told us it used to be a shopping mall and was adapted, so I think improvements may still come. Breakfast was okay, with a decent range, though I wished someone had been watching the food since it’s served farther away and birds were landing on it. Inside, my room was a pleasant surprise, clean and seemingly newly renovated, with everything looking new. The hotel is right downtown and close to everything.

The night receptionist was polite and proactive, and breakfast was perfect. But after paying the pet fee, we got a double bed with a terrible spring mattress and no blankets or throws. I could barely get a warm shower, while my husband got scalding hot water. There wasn’t even any soap.

Really enjoyed it. The room was neat and smelled fresh, and everything was clean. Great service, a delicious breakfast, and it’s close to everything. Ten out of ten ❤️

Getting to the reception was confusing from the start. At the entrance marked with the hotel name, a sign said to go farther ahead, but that next entrance wasn’t clearly marked as the hotel. I found two entrances with no signs. One led down a staircase to a construction area and nowhere else, so I went back up. The other was almost hidden by a no-entry barrier on the right and a wall blocking the left side. Inside, a hallway sign pointed back toward where I’d come from, which made no sense. I had to shout before a woman appeared at the far end and told me that was the reception. The place felt chaotic and poorly organized. I don’t know how the civil defense authority allows it to operate. Our upstairs room had holes in the wall meant to stop people falling below, covered with loose pieces of plywood and exposed nails. They sometimes fell in the wind. The ceiling was very low, with a dirty ceiling fan close enough that anyone taller than me could get scalped. There was no light over the beds, so at night it was nearly pitch black apart from the light coming in from the room entrance. The hot water kept cutting out during my shower, and the toilet shifted when we sat on it, as if it wasn’t fixed to the floor. Breakfast was listed as running from 7 to 9:30, or until the food ran out. The coffee was cold, the bread was stale and hard, and much of what ran out wasn’t replaced. The location is excellent, at least. If all you need is a place to sleep, it might do, but the safety and quality left a lot to be desired. Also, to get from our room to breakfast, we had to leave the hotel and enter again from another doorway on the street.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the owner needs to pay more attention. This place has huge potential and feels neglected, with very poor facilities and a lack of basic maintenance. The room walls were dirty and moldy, and the corridor floors and walls were in rough shape.
