Hotel Jardim

Okay.

The reception staff were very kind. The hotel is simple, but its prices felt fair for what it offers. I was just passing through and needed somewhere to sleep before continuing my trip, and it did the job. The room was okay, though some detailed cleaning could use attention; it didn’t bother me. There were a few little bugs, typical of a hot coastal town, and the shower worked well. If you just need a shower and a place to sleep, it should work for you.

Everything was excellent, from the service and cleanliness to the bedding, bathroom, shower, and breakfast. I’d stay again, but I’d ask for a room with a proper mattress. Some rooms have a box bed with only thin foam over plywood, and it’s very hard. My mother had the real mattress in her room, which was a thousand out of ten.

We only stayed one night while passing through, and it turned out much better than expected. Breakfast had loads of delicious choices: fruit, cakes, yam, cassava, couscous with and without seasoning, sweet potato, boiled and fried banana, eggs, chicken, and little sausages. Coffee was available all day, as was filtered water. The room was clean and organized, with bright white sheets and towels, a tiled bathroom with hot water, working air conditioning and mini-fridge, a table and chair, a TV we didn’t use, and a wardrobe-like place for clothes. The location was handy too, near a pretty little church and restaurants. Well worth it!
