We really enjoyed the property for an overnight stop in Extrema, on the way between GRU and Monte Verde. We hadn't booked ahead. Our chalet was clean, and the balcony had a beautiful view. I was glad the water got hot, too. There was a plate, a few utensils, and a wine opener in the fridge. We also loved the food at the restaurant, especially the trout with capers and the caipirinhas.

The breakfast was amazing, and we had good dinner at the Opera restaurant, too. You don't have to go into town to eat, since I don't think you'll find better food within 10 km. It's a great place to unwind and recharge after the city, though I'd suggest a games room with things like Monopoly or poker for bad weather days. If you have allergies, I'd avoid the bangalôs. They were terrible for my rhinitis.
