Neia and Tereza were so kind and helpful, including when they helped us arrange a private island tour. They also made breakfast happen at 5:30 in the morning, even though we had said we didn’t need it before our 6:10 taxi to the bay of dolphins. Tereza and Neia put out a full spread each morning and can make fresh juices, eggs, tapiocas, and more. The rooms have air conditioning, and Praia de Conceição is just a 30-second walk away. I was so impressed with their service and warmth. I’ll stay at Casa de Tereza when I return.

Casa Da Tereza’s hosts were lovely and very accommodating, and there’s a beautiful beach just down the hill in front of the house. The island itself is paradise, with many of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Because it’s remote, expect rustic accommodations, patchy or nonexistent internet, and consider bringing a small Portuguese phrasebook if you don’t speak the language. Go with the flow. I highly recommend arranging a Dune buggy as soon as you arrive. The hosts can try to call one for you, and it’s useful for getting around to beaches and sights. Book the Atalaia Trail well in advance for its scenery and tide pools. Other pools farther down the coast can be visited with a private guide, who will most likely speak only Portuguese. If you’re lucky enough to book those trips, they’re worth every penny even if you speak only English. See the GIANT Turtles at Turtle Bay, dolphins at Dolphin Bay, and visit Sancho Beach. I wouldn’t recommend the island for small children.

The rooms are simple but have what you need and more, including comfortable beds, lovely linens, a private bathroom, good Wi-Fi, a microwave, and tableware. I especially enjoyed the tropical nights on the deck by the entrance, with its tables, chairs, and umbrellas. Breakfast, served each morning by Tereza on a pleasant partly covered veranda, was delicious. The family feel and everyone’s friendliness were another highlight, especially Neia, who’s a wonderful person. The biggest plus is the location, almost right on the beach and still not far from the center. I really enjoyed being so close to the water. The one thing I missed was a hammock, which is so typical of Brazilian inns. A small lounge chair and umbrella to take to the nearby beach might have been nice too. If I return to Fernando de Noronha, God willing, I’d happily stay at picturesque Casa da Tereza again.

We were impressed by how well the owners looked after guests. Néia, Tereza’s daughter, was always ready to help, from arranging taxis and tours to answering our questions about activities, restaurants, receiving deliveries, and more. She helped us with patience even before we arrived, and we enjoyed her spontaneous laugh during a good chat. The warm service was especially welcome for us as a couple traveling with a three-year-old. The inn is just meters from Praia da Conceição and was spotless and very comfortable. Our room was clean and well maintained, with a great shower, toiletries, and high-quality bedding and towels. Breakfast was varied and excellent, and there was also complimentary afternoon coffee, assorted teas, and biscuits. We’ll definitely be back! Victor, Jennifer é Heloá.

The room was spotless, and the inn has Wi-Fi and sits right across from the sea at the best beach in Noronha for swimming. Neia, the owner, surprised us with how caring and courteous she was. She was always willing to help with what we asked for, even when it wasn’t on the menu. I highly recommend the inn.
