The staff members who served us were polite, but there was no reception and nobody available to help outside breakfast. We were told the room key would hang by the entrance door, where anyone could get in; cleaning and towel changes happened every two days; there were no beach towels; and breakfast ended at 9 a.m. We were also told to look for someone in an emergency, despite being told nobody would be there. The room looked like it hadn't been maintained in years. At first we didn't pay much attention, but the TV only got broadcast channels, then stopped getting even those after about three hours. There was no internet, the fridge was empty, and the pousada didn't even provide cups. On closer look, the walls and curtains were moldy, the bedding was in very poor condition, the bathroom was dirty, and the mattress had what looked like ten years of marks. Breakfast was awful. We got there 15 minutes before the 9 a.m. end time after a tiring trip, and although the pousada seemed nearly empty, there was half a banana, stale bread, a cake, cold coffee, and rancid margarine. It wasn't butter. We called the booking operator to leave and get a refund for the unused nights so we could find another pousada. Getting a response was difficult, and it felt like they were ignoring us to get one more night's payment. When they finally replied, they said they wouldn't refund us and gave no reason. We left at our own risk, and after more than 12 hours of arguing, they eventually returned the payment for the unused night. If I could give negative stars, I would. Please don't stay here. There are much better places for 100.00 more.

The breakfast was good, at least. The rest of the stay was poor. The tour operator placed me here, and the room was in bad shape. The minibar broke on the second day and stayed that way for the next three days, even though I spoke to the person responsible every day. One night I came back and there were no towels. I was told the pousada owner hadn't paid the laundry. Towels are changed only every three days, which is absurd for a beach area. The yard with the washing machines was overgrown and looked abandoned.

It's a simple place, but comfortable and clean. The location is good, and the women serving guests are attentive and pleasant. I slept and rested comfortably, just like I would at home.

We spent one night and left for another pousada. We knew the stay would be simple, but hadn't expected such poor cleanliness, organization, or welcome. I don't recommend it. We were first put in Room 1, where using the toilet brought a sewer smell. After we reported it, we moved to Room 4. Its walls were peeling and moldy, the minibar had rust spots, ants were all over the walls, and the mattress and sheets had yellow stains. The towels also didn't look clean. The windows were very dirty, and there was a curtain covering a wall with no window, presumably to hide its awful condition. There was a lot of dust under the bed, along with a soda bottle cap. The bathroom's folding door wouldn't close properly and the shower stall had no handle. Power went out across the pousada several times, especially when the shower was on. Breakfast was extremely basic, and the cups, plates, and sugar bowl didn't look clean. There was nobody around to help guests, so we had to keep searching for the employee, Grazi, whenever we needed something or had a question. There was no reception and no check-in form. The place felt completely disorganized.

It's extremely well located, near the barracão and a small market with the best prices in Noronha. Ideal if you want to make the most of Noronha and use the pousada as a place to rest and as a base.
