Bossa Jurerê Hotel

The breakfast was decent, though you have to walk almost two blocks to another location for it. But the rest of this stay was a mess, and I lost the money I spent at Bossa Jurere. I won’t return to this hotel, inn, whatever you want to call it. I had asked more than two months in advance for a quiet room on an upper floor. When I arrived, someone who didn’t work there opened the gate, and no receptionist was present. A person who said he worked at another hotel then checked me in, without the information I had sent. My ground-floor room smelled strongly of damp, like a cave, and I couldn’t sleep there. I was worried about getting a lung infection. I asked to move, but was told to wait for the receptionist. After dinner, Gabriel arrived and, looking uncomfortable about my request, moved me to the first floor. The damp smell was less intense there. Then, at 8:20 AM, construction started right beside my room. They were hammering and moving building materials in the middle of my vacation, after I’d travelled long hours to get there. Gabriel was rude and haughty when I spoke to him. He said an email had warned me about the construction schedule, but I never received it. If I had, I wouldn’t have booked. Guests pay for a decent room where they can rest. There were mosquitoes in the rooms, and the hotel provides plug-in repellents. There were cockroaches too. I had to kill one in my room, as shown in the attached photo. Please see the photos.
