Cabanas da Lua

We went as a group of four families and picked Cabanas da Lua because it was hard to find a hotel that could fit all of us. Having a separate cabin for each family seemed like a practical solution. The place is attractive, very clean, and clearly cared for. The cabins are well furnished, organized, and had what we needed. The host was sweet and polite, always nearby with a smile when we needed help. A few things made the stay harder with a small child. The wooden floor creaked and the cabin shook and made a lot of noise. When I got up to leave the room, the floorboards woke my child, so he didn't sleep well. The stairs also felt dangerous, and I was anxious the whole time about him falling. A side guard on the stairs would make it safer for families with little kids. I also noticed the owner looking at the children in our group a lot. I understand kids can be noisy, but they were on vacation and wanted to play. It didn't feel like a good fit for young children when there's an expectation of quiet. That should be made clear when people book, so guests don't spend the stay feeling they are bothering someone. It might suit couples or families with older children better. I think breakfast and cleaning service could be included, especially since the nightly rates weren't cheap. We were told only on checkout day that cleaning cost 200 reais. We paid because everyone was tired and cleaning ourselves was the only other option, but that charge should have been explained clearly beforehand. These aren't harsh criticisms, just suggestions about the service and a few things that could be reconsidered.

Luciane and I were treated like family at Cabanas da Lua. We even made a friend, Alceu. They were attentive and so kind, and welcomed my parents when they arrived a few hours before us. Thanks for taking such good care of us!

We'd love to come back. The cabins made for a really comfortable, relaxing stay, and the hosts were kind and shared helpful places to visit. We definitely recommend them. 🤗

Everything in the accommodations worked just right, and the place was spotless. The owners were very attentive.
