The service stood out in a good way. The staff were attentive and polite, and the location is really handy, with the beach, markets, a pharmacy, and plenty of bars and restaurants all close by. The large minibar is empty, so there’s room for your own water, and you can buy some at reception if needed. They also lend out an iron there. Breakfast was good, though starting at 7 is late for guests heading out on tours, many of which leave at that time. The same food is served each day, and the butter, jam, and hazelnut spread sit in a questionable container with no expiry date. The room and towels could use attention. The bedding and towels were stained, and the towels were torn. There were lots of ants, nowhere to hang wet clothes, and no shelf in the shower for toiletries. The shower stall has no door, so water gets all over the bathroom. The air conditioner was noisy. A hair dryer is available, but you have to collect it from reception and return it after use.

The facilities are dated, but they had what we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was filling, with fruit, bread, toppings, milk, cereal, yogurt, and other choices, though it was the same each day. The staff were attentive and very friendly throughout. Shops surround the hotel, and the beach is very close, so getting around and enjoying the area was easy. We had a very good stay.

Breakfast was good and reception was great. The room, though, was rough for sleeping: there's basically no soundproofing, so you hear the busy street outside in the centrinho, the old air conditioners roar, and even the next room's conversations in detail. For a weekend, the price is worth it. Any longer would be miserable.

The attendants were very friendly, and breakfast was good, which is why I gave it three stars. Still, I don't plan to come back. I was disappointed and think calling this a hotel is a stretch, an inn would fit better. The rooms are extremely basic, the shower stalls have no doors, and the air conditioner in my room didn't work. There are only two floors, so having no elevator didn't bother me personally, but I saw older women struggling with the stairs and had to help them. We also had to wear a wristband for the entire stay, and nobody could explain why. I left a day before my booking ended and went to another city.
