Costao do Santinho Resort

The beach itself is nice, though that isn't thanks to the hotel. Getting to and back from it was a horrible system. The pools were awful and crowded, and the food was only so-so. I had fish three times and each time it tasted fishy. The coffee was horrible too, which felt like a bad sign in Brazil, a coffee country. Out of seven days, there was good, plentiful fruit on only three. Otherwise it was just papaya, in a tropical country in summer. When food ran low, it often wasn't replenished. The only ice cream machine was out of order many times, and if it ran out of ice cream, it stayed that way. It felt like they were cutting costs in every area. I won't come back and don't recommend it.

The food was on another level. Each restaurant's chef added a special touch, and everything was so delicious. There were shows every night for kids, adults, or the whole family, plus the option to just relax with a drink and music. You can tell the resort has been renovated, everything looks beautiful, and each sport has its own special touch. The hotel has so much to do that there's no need to drive anywhere, which makes the vacation easier and more fun. It was very clean and works for kids, couples, or friends. I was shocked by how many of the crew knew English. There are lots of activities and playgrounds for children too, which makes things much more comfortable for parents.

The resort is beautiful and right on the beach, and we enjoyed the facilities. Mary from Gralha azul was friendly, kind, helpful, and communicated well with us. The food wasn't that great for us since we don't eat beef or pork. We speak English, so communication was a challenge.
