The location was just right, and Geckos Hostel was exactly as advertised. I had a great time there, with clean facilities, a comfortable, well-run dorm, and a welcoming team. The atmosphere was social without getting chaotic, and I had no problems during my stay. Some of the other reviews don't match what I experienced at all. It was one of the best hostels I've stayed in, and I'd gladly recommend it to other travelers and return.

I've stayed at this hostel twice, once two and a half years ago and again this week. I keep meeting great travelers here, and the people I've met have made both stays unforgettable. Max, the owner, is really nice, and the volunteers are extremely cool. The place is clean, the facilities work, and clear rules, including quiet hours, are enforced so everyone can fit in. It's probably the best hostel I've stayed at. Thanks, everyone, hope to be back soon!

The staff and volunteers are amazing, and the place is consistently clean. Great location, good food, and a nice kitchen. They also have a premium subscription for watching all the football games and TV shows.

Geckos hostel is always clean, and the staff and volunteers are wonderful. I met such friendly people there, made friends for life, and I'm so glad I got to meet Gustavo, Henrique, Noah, Celeste, Sio and Diego. Geckos really is the best!

We came as a group of four and had a great time, but I'd recommend it to solo travelers too. It's a colorful, clean place with hammocks on the room balconies, a good kitchen, and really nice coffee and toasties. Everyone was friendly and relaxed, with a sociable vibe. Thanks so much for having us :)))!
