You can hear the waves pounding just outside the room, which makes for a unique stay. The ocean is as close as it gets, and the rooms are very clean. Breakfast was good and the service was great.

The beach is right outside, with a beautiful deck to enjoy. Our room was cleaned every day and breakfast was great. The family who own the hotel were so friendly and helpful, and it was one of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have had. I'd absolutely recommend staying here.

The beach is just steps away, fairly clean, and has a lifeguard on duty each day. The surf can bring rip currents, so take care. You can walk for miles along the shore, though farther south the sand gets coarse and there's less to see; northward it's softer. A 20-30 minute walk takes you to a spot for inflatable boats to campeche Island. Nearby nightlife and good restaurants are limited, but the other side of the island is about a 20-minute Uber ride away. We stayed three nights and had a pleasant visit, and I'd return. The helpful, friendly hospitality made it easier to discover the area. We were unexpectedly moved to the largest room, #1, which we appreciated. For an oceanfront place it was good value. The room was clean and modernized, with a comfortable full-size king bed, ocean views, good climate control, and hot water. I felt secure, though the sliding glass door lock was a little fussy. There was nice deck access and space for hammocks, but more shade and plants would be welcome. There's no music, so bring your own; the TV has music channels but no pay-per-view movies. Breakfast, which was included, was average.

The deck overlooking the beach is lovely, and the location is great. My room was small, though really I only needed it to sleep in. The bathroom had been updated, breakfast was fine, and secure parking was a block away.
