Intercity Portofino Florianópolis

The staff were the one bright spot. They were wonderful, but even they couldn’t make up for the rest of the stay. The room was noisy despite supposedly having soundproof windows. Traffic kept me awake most nights, and closing the windows barely changed the noise. The mattress was much too hard, like a trampoline, the sheets were awful, and the blanket didn’t cover the king-size bed properly. The bathrooms were poorly designed, with humidity, mold, and flies, and not being allowed to flush toilet paper was disgusting. Music blared in both the lobby and restaurant, so there was no peaceful breakfast or quiet walk through the lobby. It felt like an unnecessary assault on both guests and employees. Avoid this place.

My room was amazing, and this hotel gave me a level of service I’ll never forget. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was fresh, though only average. Some reception shifts didn’t have staff who spoke English.

The food from room service was exceptional. It arrived hot and beautifully presented, and the service was fast. Laundry was quick too, and they did a great job, even getting the pasta stain out of my shirt. The front desk staff were personable and friendly, and did their best whenever I asked for something. The hotel is very clean and neat, with a secure garage and a new building. I liked the safety feature that lets your room card access only your floor. Breakfast was excellent for any kind of diet, and the staff throughout were incredibly helpful and friendly. It’s a good choice for business, travel, or a vacation, and I’ll stay here again.

A pretty good hotel, with a great breakfast and friendly housekeeping and front desk staff. It’s close to direto do campo and Floripa mall. There was some traffic noise from SC 401 now and then.
