Kata Hotel Boutique

I only ate at the other hotel during a trip with the Uruguayan company AVETUR, so this is just about the food. There was very little variety, and it was mostly the same each time. When they did change the menu, it was only one tray. Some dishes were cold, and drinks cost extra.

Please don't stay here. The room was awful, with a moldy smell and terrible furniture. It's not fit for an animal. The photos are completely misleading, so don't be fooled. Just a horrible place.

The staff were really attentive, even when we arrived well before the 2 pm check-in. They let us change in the shared bathrooms, watched our things while we went to the beach, and kept them safe again when we checked out late. The pool attendant was friendly and gave us an airport ride for a reasonable price. My girlfriend and I stayed March 1-7 and had a sunny, lovely week. The beaches are just three blocks away. The center is a bit far, though there are two supermarkets nearby, and walking along the beach is a good option. Our room had a balcony, a small fridge, air conditioning that cooled it completely, and a smart TV. We brought a Chromecast too. There were a few tiny ants, but very few; I didn't mind, though someone especially particular about cleanliness might.

The service was the best part of our stay. The Boutique covered the basics, and we had a great time, even if it wasn't the best place.
